Search Clerk
Kemtek Development and Construction Ltd. seeks a suitable candidate for the position of Search Clerk for our Kingston office. The Search Clerk will be responsible for checking, recording, stamping and lodging all legal documents at the National Land Agency (NLA), Tax Administration of Jamaica (TAJ), financial institutions, and businesses and also for the reliable pick up/delivery of documents, packages, funds, etc.The incumbent must be familiar with the processes at the Tax Administration of Jamaica (primarily the Stamp Office and TRN office) and National Land Agency, and must demonstrate that he/she will practise heightened security protocol and safety procedure, provide outstanding customer service and demonstrate competence.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Secondary school graduate with a minimum of five (5) passes in CXC/CSEC
- A certificate in paralegal studies would be an asset
- Must have a valid Driver's license with a minimum of three (3) years driving experience
- Owner of a reliable motor vehicle which is fully licensed, insured and road worthy
- Professional/office experience required (preferably in a legal office) with a minimum of three (3) years experience in a similar position
- Familiarity with motor vehicle functions and with the Jamaica Road Codes and Laws
- Efficiency in delivering an picking up funds, documents and packages to and from required destination safely and withing required timeframes
- In-depth knowledge of the processes and procedures at TAJ, NLA and other government entities
- Must be attentive and possess excellent decision making skills
- Security awareness when performing all tasks
- Detail oriented and exceptionally attentive to accuracy
- Good interpersonal relations
- Relevant computer knowledge and experience in preparing reports and for tracking documents lodged at TAJ, NLA, the Courts and other entities
- Exceptional customer service to internal and external customers
Customer Service Representative
Kemtek Development and Construction Ltd. seeks a suitable candidate for the position of Customer Service Representative (CSR). The incumbent will operate primarily from our Kingston office and will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to all our customers, both locally overseas. The CSR works in support of the sales and legal team to facilitate the completion of all sales and performs a variety of tasks, including processing their transactions promptly and accurately, and ensuring that customers are satisfied and remain loyal. The CSR ensures an exceptional customer experience that supports the company's vision.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A first degree in Business Administration - major in Marketing would be an asset
- A minimum of four (4) years experience in customer service and/or marketing, preferably in a development/construction company
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Customer service training
- Proven track record in customer service
Knowledge and skills required:
- Must be detailed oriented, organized and able to handle multiple tasks
- Able to handle confidential information and positively represent the company
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication and conflict resolution skills
- Proficiency in computers and technology, and able to manage and monitor all social media platforms
- Excellent phone etiquette
- Ability to problem solve and be solution minded
- Must be a team player and willing to help others in their department whenever necessary
- Develops professional relationships and builds rapport with others.

Human Resource Officer
Kemtek Development and Construction Ltd. seeks a suitable candidate for the position of Human Resource Officer for our Kingston office. The Human Resource Officer will be responsible for all aspects of the Human Resource Management functions and for all operational activities with respect to staff development, personnel, welfare, staff benefits, recruitment and selection, performance appraisals and industrial relations. In addition, he/she will participate in the implementation of agreed strategies to bring about the required organizational changes.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelors degree in Human Resource Management
- Must have at least four (4) years post qualifications experience at a middle management level or higher
- Sound knowledge of Jamaica's Labour Laws
- Sound knowledge of industrial Relations
