Summary

About the Agency

This position is located in the Plant Technical Services Office, Industrial Production Support, Fleet Readiness Center Southwest, (FRCSW) North island, and is responsible for providing personnel with services as it relates to the management of plant and minor property with an emphasis on inventory control and property disposal.

Duties

The successful selectee will perform the following duties:

*Participate in regularly scheduled and special equipment inventories as required by various Department of Defense directives.

*Provide reports for all work centers containing Individual Material Readiness List Support Equipment (IMRL SE).

*Assist shop personnel in conducting the physical inventory and personally reconciles the plant property records.

*Receive equipment from the carrier or supply department delivery, checks for shipping or handling damaged packages at time of delivery.

*Initiate Equipment Receipt Records, affixes identification tags to equipment as required, and has equipment moved to hold area pending issue/installation.

*Evaluate new equipment to determine equipment class/category and type of reporting action.

*Provide technical data for plant property records and Maximo input data in accordance with existing regulation and instruction.

Qualifications

In order to qualify for this position, your resume must provide sufficient experience and/or education, knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are being considered. Your resume is the key means we have for evaluating your skills, knowledge, and abilities as they relate to this position. Therefore, we encourage you to be clear and specific when describing your experience.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing support assistance in conducting equipment inventories and visually inspecting equipment for shipping or handling damages, 2) Updating and maintaining Maximo, or excel, other similar databases, and 3) Maintain accurate data records to support management. -OR- Successfully completed 4 years of education above the High School level in any field. This education must have been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. One year of full-time academic study is defined as 30 semester hours, 45 quarter hours, or the equivalent in a college or university, or at least 20 hours of classroom instruction per week for approximately 36 weeks in a business, secretarial, or technical school. -OR- Combination of general experience and education as listed above.
