Technical Machine Operators - Seprod Group (Jamaica)

THE JOB

To set up, maintain and operate high performance machinery employed in the manufacturing of Ultra-High Temperature [UHT] products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• To operate UHT production machinery to the required performance levels.
• To carry out preventative, corrective and breakdown maintenance on UHT machinery and equipment in order to achieve optimal equipment effectiveness
• Fix basic mechanical issues that might occur during the shift
• Maintain production activity log
• Identify and diagnose mechanical problems in plant machinery and equipment and carry out minor repairs
• Perform basic corrective and preventative maintenance for all U.H.T plant equipment as required.
• Actively participate in problem solving line issues to meet key targets and to continuously improve performance.
• Ensure plant hygiene and cleanliness through Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
• Perform autonomous quality checks and maintenance as per schedule.


Qualifications:    
REQUIREMENTS

•  Understanding of production and maintenance procedures
• Adherence to health and safety regulations
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to work with basic hand tools
• Computer literacy
• Good trouble shooting skills.
• Ability to work on own initiative and follow instructions clearly

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• At minimum, a Certificate or Diploma in Engineering, Machine Operations or Maintenance from an accredited institution
• Two years’ experience in machine operations and quality standards
• Experience in the operation of filling and packaging equipment
