Job Title: Project Planner
Location: Group Caribbean, Jamaica
Summary/Objective:
The Project Planner- Technology will be responsible for the end to end delivery of an array of Technical projects, interfacing with internal and external customers to deliver projects within scope, budget and on time whilst effectively managing stakeholder communications.

The Project Planner- Technology will be responsible for the end to end delivery of an array of Technical projects, interfacing with internal and external customers to deliver projects within scope, budget and on time whilst effectively managing stakeholder communications.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop project scopes and objectives, through involvement of all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility:
- Determining resources required – time, money, equipment, human resources to deliver the project
- Determine the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget – ensuring the desired business outcome is achieved through the:
- Coordination of internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
- Ensuring resource availability and allocation
- Developing detailed project plans to track progress – this should identify and sequence the activities needed to successfully complete the project
- Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
- Reporting and escalating to management as needed
- Effectively manage the relationship with all stakeholders – inclusive of third parties/vendors
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Implement the project
- Execute the project according to the project plan
- Develop forms and records to document project activities
- Implement configuration management – ensuring appropriate document security
- Monitor the progress of the project and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project
- Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders
- Review the quality of the work completed with the project team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standards
- Control the project
- Prepare reports on the project for the management team, communicating as agreed
- Monitor and approve all budgeted project expenditures
- Monitor cash flow projections and report actual cash flow and variance to senior management on a regular basis (monthly/bimonthly)
- Manage all project budgets according to established procedures
- Ensure that all financial records for the project are up to date
- Prepare financial reports and supporting documentation for project sponsor as agreed
- Evaluate the project
- Ensure that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality
- Evaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase
Qualifications:
- Degree/ diploma in telecommunication/Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Science or similar.
- Strong Project Management skills – Project management (PMP) certification would be an advantage
- Working knowledge of project management methodologies, tools and software
- Telecommunications and/or IT background
- Able to organize and prioritize activities, and work autonomously to deliver objectives
- Experience with matrix management
- Demonstrated management skills including:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and well developed interpersonal and representational skills.
- With great communication skills in drafting reports and recommendations for the key stakeholders
- A high level of knowledge regarding the application of technical resources
- Ability to develop and motivate others to achieve.
- Ability to assess problem situations to identify causes, gather and process relevant information, generate possible solutions, and make recommendations and/or resolve the problem.
- Experience in an agile project management environment.
