Social Worker (Kingston, Jamaica) - Grace Missionary Church

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Christian professionals to fill the position of part-time Social Worker at the Grace Missionary Church.

The successful candidate will be responsible for initiating a comprehensive social work programme to assist members and adherents in identifying and coping with social, psychological and economic challenges aimed at fosteringbetter functioning of individuals and families thereby strengthening and preserving family units in keepin with biblical principles.

Specific Knowledge and Skills required:

• Understanding of human psychology and knowledge of human development stages
• A well-developed sense of empathy
• Exceptional professional boundary setting
• Active listening and critical thinking
• Problem solving skills
• Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills; consistently demonstrating respect for each person's dignity

Qualifications and Experience:

• First degree in Social Work with at least two (2) years work experience in the field
