Consider this exciting opportunity to provide advanced financial, clerical and administrative services at two Ontario correctional facilities - St. Lawrence Valley Correctional and Treatment Centre and the Brockville Jail.
Please note: This is a part-time position working 21.75 hours per week. The position is based at the St. Lawrence Valley Correctional and Treatment Centre (SLVCTC) providing support to both SLVCTC and the Brockville Jail.
• Provide a wide range of financial services in the following areas: non-tax revenue, accounts receivable, accounts payable, petty cash, purchasing, inventory control, Offender Trust Accounts, budget forecasting and accounts analysis
• You can interpret and apply records retention policies
• You can analyze account activity and resolve work related issues
• You have knowledge of various tracking systems related to financial processing, planning, budgeting and reporting

• You have strong knowledge of public sector accounting policies and procedures in the areas of procurement, non-tax revenue billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, travel, petty cash, offender trust, journal entries and inventory control• You can interpret and apply records retention policies
Analytical and Arithmetic Skills
• You can check and verify expenditures, process financial documents, and assist with budget preparation• You can analyze account activity and resolve work related issues
Computer Skills
• You are proficient in computer software and applications to prepare reports, spreadsheets, letters, journals, etc.• You have knowledge of various tracking systems related to financial processing, planning, budgeting and reporting
Communication and Interpersonal Skills
• You can work effectively with staff at all levels, provide training and technical guidance to others, respond to inquiries and provide informationOrganizational and Coordination Skills
