Electrical Technician (Kingston, Jamaica) - Delta Supply Co. Ltd.

Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, the ideal candidate should possess a minimum of three (3) years experience as an electrical maintenance technician in an industrial or workshop environment.

Skill Sets:

• Familiarity with electrical installation (panels, breakers, switch gear and transfer switches, conduit and cabling)
• Familiarity with controls, instrumentation, circuit boards, PLCs, etc
• Familiarity with motors, variable speed drive and variable frequency drive technology
• Wiring diagram reading, troubleshooting and diagnostics
• Measurement and testing
• Experience with high voltage AC/DC
• Familiarity with welding technology and generator technology

Responsibilities:

• Repairing and maintaining tools and equipment sold and serviced by the company, both at the company's workshop and at customers' facilities
• Preparation of service commissioning reports

Qualifications and Experience:

• A B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering/Maintenance from a recognized tertiary institution or vocational training institute 
• Good communication skills
• Computer literacy
• A valid general driver's license - 3000 kgs or higher
• Experience in servicing/maintaining, welding equipment, generators and industrial air compressors would be an asset.
