This announcement is for the Recreation Aid position at two different locations, Hobson Recreation Center and Price Fitness Center (PFC). Hobson Recreation Center is a facility that provides a large variety of events and services for Active Duty Military members and their guests. PFC is a state of the art facility providing fitness equipment and programs for Service Members, Military Retirees, DoD Civilians, Contractors and Family Members.

This position is with the Directorate of Family, Morale and Recreation (DFMWR) and is located on the Defense Language Institute, Presidio of Monterey, CA.
Flexible positions will normally be scheduled 0-40 hours per week dependent upon the needs of the organization. There is no set guarantee number of hours for flexible positions.
Schedule will include nights, weekends, and holidays.
Salary will be determined by the Hiring Manager and may be based upon such criteria as related experience and education.

Duties

- Assists the Facility Manager in the overall operation of a fitness facility. Circulates among patrons to assure service is satisfactory
- Provides information and general instruction on the use of equipment, facilities, and machinery. 
- Assists in setting up for instructors, contractors, events, athletic activities, and related functions.
- Issues/Receives equipment to authorized users.
- Cleans and performs minor maintenance on facility equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Possesses related work experience that includes the demonstrated ability to perform the duties of the position as indicated above.
