THE POSITION: BRAND MANAGER (Pharmaceutical & Health Care Division)
Job Summary
To recommend, develop and implement marketing plans and programmes for the Pharmaceutical Division that will ensure the growth and profitability of the portfolio of responsibility, in addition to supervising, coaching of a team of medical representatives and technical representatives in the Health Care Division.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
• Maximize the sales and gross profit potential of the assigned portfolio.
• Acquire and develop an understanding of the health care industry in Jamaica to meet the needs of the industry
• Plan, implement, record and assess marketing plans, sales promotions, advertising and relevant expenditure.
• Expand market coverage and penetration to maximize sales through distribution, acquisition of new customers, etc.
• Identify and seek growth opportunities and present such opportunities to the management team
• Visit customers to obtain first-hand information on prices, trends and market conditions.
• Ensure that adequate inventory levels are maintained to satisfy market demand in keeping with divisional objectives.
• Monitor and collate economic, social and competitive data for products in portfolio and report same on a monthly/ quarterly basis.
Qualifications and Job Requirements
• First Degree in a Sales, Marketing or Business Administration
• A minimum of 5 years working in the Pharmaceutical or health care industry.
• Excellent planning and organizing skills.
• The ability to supervise a team
• Well-developed analytical decision-making/problem solving skills
• Well–developed communication skills (oral and written).
• Good reasoning power and conflict resolution skills
• Well-developed business ethics.
• Performance coaching and facilitation skills
• Own or operate a reliable motor vehicle
