Singer Jamaica Ltd. Now Hiring: Customer Service Officer, Technicians- Islandwide (Jamaica)

Applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals to fill the following positions:

Warehouse and Logistics Manager

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Warehouse and Logistics Manager holds overall responsibility for receiving, storage and distribution pf products to the stores island wide; the management of people, processes and systems to ensure goods are received, stored and dispatched appropriately; strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse and transportation and management of safety standards and security of the stock and building.

Qualifications and Experience:

• B.Sc. in Warehouse Management/Logistics/Business Administration or related field
• A minimum of five (5) years experience in a similar capacity preferably in retail environment
• Knowledge of the legal requirements of operating a warehouse
• Working knowledge of the security requirements of the Jamaica Custom Agency
• Excellent leadership and management skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Plan, co-ordinate and monitor the receipt, order and dispatch of products
• Manage the processes through communicating clear expectations to team members
• Ensure the trucking activities are properly coordinated to ensure cost efficiency
• Ensure inventory procedures; stock control, quarterly counts are conducted and reconciled
• Produce statistical and financial reports as required
• Plan future capacity requirements

Customer Service Officer

Qualifications and Experience:

• First degree in Management Studies or equivalent Specialist training in Customer Service
• A minimum of two (2) working experience in a supervisory capacity preferably in the retail industry
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Good analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work with persons at all levels

The persons appointed will be responsible for:

• Managing a variety of activities to ensure that a definitive culture of exceptional customer service is maintained within the company
• Constantly reviewing customer service policies and practices and recommend improvements;
• Understanding the needs of customers and implementing strategies towards meeting those needs
• Assisting with the design and delivery of customer service training

*The job will require work outside of normal working hours and travelling island wide.

Appliance and Electronics Service Technicians (Island wide)

Requirements:

• A minimum of three (3) years experience in servicing and repairing appliances and electronic household equipment
• Must be able to diagnose and troubleshoot jobs with the use of schematic diagrams
• Must be computer literate with experience in using computerized equipment in the repairs process
• Must have an interest in keeping up to date with new technology
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Good customer service skills
• Possession of a reliable motor vehicle
