The Justice Centre (JC) provides 24-hour, seven-day-a-week access to Judicial Justices (JJ).  Using sophisticated telephone and video conferencing methods, JJs at the Justice Centre consider federal and provincial search warrant applications and preside over bail hearings.  Police throughout the province rely on the Justice Centre to obtain Search Warrants/ Production Orders in a timely manner and bring people who have been arrested and detained before a Justice as soon as possible.

Reporting to the Justice Centre Team Lead (JCTL) and Justice Centre Manager (JCM), the Judicial Justice Assistant (JJA) provides administrative and court clerk support services to Judicial Justices for the Justice Centre and Provincial Court. Qualifications:
In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:
  • Combination of related clerical experience, education or training eg. administrative, criminal, court experience or law related background.
  • Experience/training in keyboarding, data entry, word processing and other standard computer applications.
  • Must demonstrate high levels of accuracy; proofreading is a required element of this job and all applications will be screened for these.
  • Justice of the Peace Commission is Required for the Administrative Officer 14 classification.
