Illovo Sugar Malawi PLC’s Nchalo operations situated 80 km South of Blantyre invites applications from suitably qualified individuals to fill the following position of Irrigation Electrical Engineer in Agriculture Department-Irrigation

Qualification & Experience

• Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Registered member of the Malawi Board of Engineers
• 10 years experience in a heavy industry with heavy power usage
• Experience in power transmission and distribution is a must

Duties Responsibilities

• Manages the maintenance of all Irrigation/Estate Electrical power Equipment/Plant i e. Transformers, Motors, Panels, Overheads lines.
• Designs Power requirements for all projects expansion on the Estate Controls power Consumption (Maximum Demand) for the Estate as per agreement with Escom
• Manages domestic power supply and maintenance of electrical installations and fittings
• Manages and leads the Irrigation Electrical Section
• Leads in the implementation of safety standards and procedures in all electrical works and power usage on the Estate
