Proposals are invite for suitably qualified candidates to provide part-time services in the capacity of:

Internal Auditor

The selected applicant will be required to work in Kingston and Ocho Rios, St. Ann.

Scope of Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will be required to:

• Appraise/assess the reliability and integrity of the company's accounting system.
• Determine the adequacy and efficiency of the financial and operational procedures and controls that exist.
• Determine compliance with the relevant laws and regulations; Ministry policies, procedures and guidelines; and Auditor General's recommendations.
• Assess the efficiency of risk aversion and cost-saving measures.
• Evaluate and analyse the financial statements and other relevant reports.
• Assess the maintenance and control of company fixed assets.
• Make recommendations to correct inefficiencies and monitor compliance.
• Prepare audit reports and findings for relevant persons.

Education, Skills and Experience

• ACCA/CPA qualification or equivalent.
• BSc Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum three (3) years' auditing experience
• Experience in the bauxite and mining Industry would be an asset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Working knowledge of Accpac.
• Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures.
• Sound Judgement.
