This is a competitive temporary promotion opportunity not to exceed (NTE) 3 years. This temporary promotion may be extended or terminated earlier. At the conclusion of the temporary promotion, the employee will return to their position of record.
Non-Current Career/Career Conditional Department of Commerce Employee: This position will be filled as a Term Appointment NTE 2 years, may be extended for an additional 2 years at management's discretion.
This position is ELIGIBLE for telework; additional criteria will be required (e.g., supervisory approval).
This is a NON-BARGAINING unit position.

The individual selected for this position will:
- Code and process personnel actions; prepare pre-appointment packages; and provide a variety of general information regarding recruitment program functions, processing, and procedures.
- Review and process documents, forms, etc. relevant to assigned program area(s).
- Consider the content accuracy and adequacy of documents, forms, etc. relevant to assigned program area(s), and evaluates and makes recommendations as appropriate.
- Maintain files pertaining to assigned program area(s), including entering pertinent data into databases, spreadsheets, etc.
- Provide limited technical answers to managers, employees, supervisors, etc. pertaining to assigned program area(s).
