Summary
This position is located on the Rock Island Arsenal in the NAF Personnel Records Center. Work is performed in a fast paced environment. This is a full time position with a minimum work week of 40 hours. Incumbent is eligible for the NAF Benefits package, annual and sick leave accrual. This announcement will be used to fill numerous positions within the growing office.
This Term position does have the potential to be converted to Permanent based on management discretion and the availability of permanent spaces. The potential also exists for this term position to be ended sooner than the two year not to exceed date if the need for the position ceases to exist.
If converted to a Permanent position, the incumbent will be required to complete a 1 year probationary period.
The first cut off of applicants for this position will be 6 October, applicants that applied on and before that day will be sent first for consideration. If additional applicants are needed, applicants that applied after the 6th with be sent then for consideration.

Performs Nonappropriated Funds (NAF) processing functions within a processing center. Performs extensive technical work in the areas of Defense Civilian Personnel Data System (DCPDS) processing, electronic Official Personnel Folder (eOPF) maintenance and NAF payroll. Codes and processes routine and complex personnel actions into DCPDS. Analyzes incoming work and conducts pre-processing reviews. Reviews processing/data entry errors and/or trends and helps to identify corrective action needed. Generates reports as necessary to perform quality control functions. Attends working groups, teams, and/or other special focus groups convened to assess unusual or interrelated processing or pay/data-entry problems. Assists with identification of underlying problems and works with groups to arrive at options or alternatives.
Uploads documents into eOPF. Receives requests for eOPFs from other agencies; reviews and purges documents from folders and prepares folder for submission to agency. Submits requests for personnel folders from other agencies; receives folders, reviews and purges documents as necessary; and recalculates service computation dates. Submits products to higher graded staff for review and final transmission of folders.
Generates and submits payroll transmittals within prescribed deadlines. Generates, submits and confirms receipt of actions with NAF Financial Services. Pulls and verifies payroll reports.
