Civilian employees serve a vital role in supporting the Army mission. They provide the skills that are not readily available in the military, but crucial to support military operations. The Army integrates the talents and skills of its military and civilian members to form a Total Army.
About thePosition:
Position is located in the Mission Area at Sierra Army Depot. With the exception of Fire & Police, employees work a 4/10 work week. Sierra Army Depot is located in the rural northeast California town of Herlong, approximately 60 miles north of Reno, NV; and 35 miles south of Susanville, CA. The depot serves as an Army Expeditionary Logistical Support Center. The depot has an Army Commanding Officer with a civilian work force of approximately 1350 employees. Child care facilities are available. Exchange/Commissary facilities are NOT available, however there is a small AAFES Express. Carpools and mass transportation is available from Reno/Susanville at minimal cost. Surrounding area boasts world class fishing, hunting, snow skiing; full range of outdoor sports/recreation activities.

You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
Appointment is subject to the completion of a favorable suitability or fitness determination.
Direct Deposit of Pay is Required.
This is a Career Program (CP) 13 position.
This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type at least 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors. (Note: Must be supported in your resume.)
Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: maintain established records of program analysis data and reports; provide explanations of procedures and requirements; identify clear errors in data; and compile management or program analysis data into prescribed formats.. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as [insert applicable field(s) of study].

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages.
