  Responsibilities

  Works alone or in a group performing a variety of tasks involving the maintenance and repair of recreational grounds, buildings and structures, and appurtenant fixtures.
  
  Duties require the use of trade practices associated with carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and painting as well as work involving motor vehicle operations.
  
  Loads and unloads heavy boxes, bulky supplies, and materials to and from trucks, dollies, etc.; moves heavy boxes/cartons by hand or dolly; opens crates and boxes using crowbar, cuts bands using shears; stacks boxes and cartons as directed. Moves and arranges furniture.
  
  Performs other duties as assigned.

  6. Must be able to lift and move materials weighing up to 40 lbs. and, occasionally heavier items with assistance.
  7. Must be able to work from ladders.

  Qualifications

  Minimum Qualifications:
  1. Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
  2. Must possess a working knowledge of wood working techniques and basic shop mathematics (ex: add, subtract, multiply, etc...).
  3. Must be knowledgeable in how to operate hand and power tools and measuring devices of the carpentry and painting trades.
  4. Must be knowledgeable in how to prepare standard surfaces for coating methods and techniques.
  5. Must be able to read and follow basic blueprints and sketches.
  6. Must be skilled in the operation of a motor vehicle.

  Best Qualified:
  Incumbent must possess work experience in maintenance or non-administrative work experience in a warehouse.
