VACANCY FOR INSPECTOR (SOG/ST 5)

Core Responsibilities:

1. Inspect premises storing/ selling pesticides
2. Identify and investigate reports of breaches of the Pesticides Act (1975)
3. Process applications for the importation of pesticides
4. Supervise  practical examinations of Pest Control Applications
5. Conduct training and public education activities

Requirements

• B.Sc. in Agriculture OR
• B.Sc. in Chemistry/Environmental Science with agriculture background.
• Must own and operate a reliable motor vehicle
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint
• Experience in teaching or agricultural extension would be an asset

Entry level position; Three year contract (renewable) at Government pay scale with Motor Vehicle Upkeep and Travelling Allowances.
