Responsibilities
Oversees the administrative management of the reception area of a CYS Program.
Receives children, youth, parents, and other visitors in a courteous manner.
Answers main telephone, ascertain nature of call and direct caller to appropriate staff takes a message or personally provides desired information.
Provides customer service expected in a "First Choice" organization.
Utilizes Child and Youth Management System (CYMS) to oversee the collection, accurate accounting and reporting of funds; and to collect and maintain up-to-date statistical data for planning and reporting purposes IAW higher headquarters and statutory requirements.

Conditions of Employment:

2. All required background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, 2-13,to include Child and Youth National Agency Check with Inquiries (CNACI), and a health assessment are required. Successful completion of training requirements and demonstrated on the job competency is required. Travel to on and off post locations required.
3. Immunizations may be required as a condition of employment for the health and safety of those in the facility as determined by medical authority. Already immune individuals (based on documented receipt of vaccine series or physician diagnosed illness), or those subject to religious exemption, or medical contraindication are exempt from this requirement.
4. Able and willing to work a schedule that includes evenings and weekends, depending on the organization's needs.
Qualifications
Progressively responsible administrative duties.
Skill in operating a manual or electric typewriter and current automation system and software (Microsoft Windows, Word, Power Point, Excel) required.
Must be able to type 40 wpm (must be reflected on your resume)
Knowledge of grammar, spelling, capitalization and punctuation and composition techniques needed to accurately type a variety of material from written sources or voice recordings.
Possess the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
HIGHLY PREFERRED: Knowledge of formats, forms, typing policies and common terminology of the program for which the work is to be performed.

1.) At least 1 year experience as a CYSS Administrative Assistant utilizing
CYMS (Child and Youth Management System)
2.) Knowledgeable of and able to articulate services offered by CYSS
including but not limited to: CYMS computer application, medication
administration regulations/procedures for CYSS, CYSS registration/enrollment
process, USDA food program administration and common terminology of the CYSS
program for which the work is to be performed
