    About the Position: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, is recruiting for multiple Administrative Project Assistants (OA), GS-0303-06 position(s) for the following offices:
    1) Regional Planning and Environment Division North (RPEDN), Resource Management (RM) and Real Estate (RE) offices. Duty location: USACE, St. Paul District, St. Paul, MN.
    2) Program and Project Management Division (PPMD), Project Management, Branch B. Duty location: USACE, St. Paul District, St. Paul, MN.
    3) Regional Planning and Environment Division North (RPEDN), Plan Formulation Branch, Duty location: USACE, Rock Island, IL.

    The office atmosphere is friendly, high-functioning with staff from a variety of backgrounds. Incumbent performs a variety of administrative and technical support functions for the office. Must be competent in the use of Personal Computers (PCs) to maintain required databases, extract, and/or download data, and develop presentation graphics required by assignments.

    Responsibilities


    • Responsible for administrative and technical functions for the office including preparation of a variety of narrative and tabular material such as requisitions, correspondence, memorandum, and administrative forms from rough draft or brief instructions to final form.
    • Recognize and correct errors in correspondence/documents/reports using the rules of grammar, spelling, punctuation and format.
    • Use computer systems equipped with electronic mail, calendar, graphics, spreadsheets, word processing programs and database management systems.
    • Serves a primary liaison for all project sites for Corps of Engineers Financial Management System (CEFMS) processing, administrative, and other Automated Data Processing support.
    • Coordinate training requests, schedule personnel for training and maintain pertinent records.
    • Prepare and track all on-going and projected personnel actions and update the staff.
    • Make arrangements for supervisor's travel, arrange schedule of visits, make reservations, and notify organizations and officials to be visited.
    • Assure leave and overtime compensation requests are prepared timely.
    • Coordinate the daily administrative support activities of the office and work with a team of clerical staff to take care of fluctuating workloads.
    • Ensure filing system is established in accordance with established procedures and regulations.
