What General Information Do I Need To Know About This Position?
This is a term appointment for which all qualified applicants with or without Federal status may apply and be considered. Appointment to this position, however, will not convey permanent status in the Federal service and will be for a period not to exceed 13 months with possible extensions up to a total of 4 years without further competition.
Salary: $35,464 (Step 01) to $46,109 (Step 10); NOTE: First time hires to the Federal Government are typically hired at the Step 01.
There is one vacancy that may be filled at the GS-05; however, this announcement may be used to fill additional vacancies if they become available.

Duties
As an Office Automation Assistant within the Washington Water Science Center, some of your specific duties will include:
-Use multiple office automation software with varied functions to produce a wide range of documents and provide miscellaneous clerical support.
-Prepare a variety of correspondence, reports, and other documents.
-Establish, update, and maintain office records of various types.
-Make travel arrangements, such as scheduling transportation, making reservations, and preparing travel orders and vouchers, based on general travel intentions, known preferences of traveler, and in accordance with appropriate travel regulations.
-Prepare and consolidate time and attendance records.
-Requisition office supplies, printing support, and related materials and services.
-Responsible for fleet maintenance and utilization record keeping such as fleet charge card reallocation.
