Duties
If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that. Typical work assignments will include:
- Receiving telephone calls and visitors to the office;
- Controlling access to the office and insuring only visitors properly cleared are authorized entry;
- Notifying staff members of visitors or incoming telephone calls;
- Taking messages from, and giving messages to, visitors and callers when staff members are unavailable;
- Responding to inquiries providing general information regarding office programs;
- Maintaining an up-to-date telephone and address listing of departments and agencies;
- Checking answering machine each morning for messages;
- Preparing recordings and activating the off-duty telephone answering machine;
- Using various software to produce a variety of documents (Outlook and Word);
- Receiving all checks and money orders, recording receipt in check control log;
- Ensuring check logs and notebook are complete and accurate;
- Safeguarding checks that are not forwarded on day of receipt due to lateness of arrival;
- Receiving, accepting, certifying, and overseeing Grand Jury Transcripts;
- Maintaining Government Vehicles (GOV).
