Our IT Division is looking for a suitably qualified, highly ambitious, self-motivated candidate to join its team as HOD- Business Effectiveness at the Head Office location.
CORE Functions:
This position provides vision, strategy and leadership for improving operational effectiveness throughout the organization. The role will consist of 6 key pillars, process reengineering, enterprise architecture, quality assurance engineering and control, business intelligence, business relationship management and IT Governance. Utilizing benchmarking along with these focus areas the incumbent will to drive enterprise-wide performance improvement, optimize processes, eliminate waste, improve quality and reduce costs. This incumbent is expected to be a technology leader that will align business and technology goals as well as improve system reliability/performance, operational productivity, project delivery times and IT service levels while optimizing operating and capital expenses. Responsibilities also include strategic technology planning, building high-performance teams, project management, implementing best practice methodologies and continuous improvement programs.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelors of Science degree in Management Information Systems, Business Process Management, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline OR at least eight (8) years progressive experience in process and quality engineering as well as organizational excellence or related environment.
- Certificate in Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) or COBIT Framework an asset
- Green Belt or Higher Six Sigma Certification required.
- Working knowledge of Quality Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, Process Reengineering, Business Relationship Management, IT Governance, Business Intelligence, Change Management, Benchmarking and developing and measuring metrics and performance indicators.
- Certificate in Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Certificate in Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL).
Core responsibilities include:
- Designs, implements and manages process architecture, reengineering and optimization across the organization in accordance with benchmarks and best practices to provide the best system and process performance for business operations.
- Manage the quality engineering, assurance and test processes to ensure solutions meet business requirements and customer expectations.
- Leads development, documentation and maintenance of business effectiveness and customer impacting policies, procedures, and standards companywide.
- Anticipate and identify needs and critical gaps that affect organizational effectiveness and lead implementation of immediate and long-term organizational design and effectiveness strategies.
- Design and establish key metrics, business intelligence and analytics that facilitate and measure organizational effectiveness solutions.
- Utilize analytical and problem-solving skills to identify solutions to unusual and complex problems.
- Serve as an “agent of change” and models teamwork and relationship building in all interactions.
- Develops implementation strategies for resistance management, organizational readiness, coaching, training, accountability and rewards to reinforce adoption of changes.
- Responsibility for business relationship management and employee engagement as it relates to the deployment of technology and business effectiveness solutions.
- Effectively implement and manage communication strategies around business effectiveness initiatives.
- Responsible for effective planning, timely delivery, efficient initiative management, accurate results, and overall client satisfaction throughout the organizational effectiveness practice.
- Consistently monitors and manages risk as well as plan and implement mitigation strategies to minimize exposure.
- Assist in system and software architecture and design to ensure effective business operations.
- Monitors and routinely audits compliance to all organizational effectiveness procedures and policies and ensures consistency of internal controls across departments.
- Monitor changes in technology, standards and support versions affecting infrastructure, and make recommendations on the need for process, policy and/or system changes.
- Responsible for effective business relationship management for improved customer satisfaction.
- Create, implement and maintain a Governance framework which promotes the effective and secure operations of IT.
- Defines, implements and manages on-premise, cloud and hosted deployment strategies which provide for most effective operations for JPS
