This position is located in Department of Homeland Security, United States Coast Guard, Force Readiness Command, Training Center Yorktown, International Division, in Yorktown, VA.

Duties

The position provides a variety of general office clerical support duties.

Being a CG civilian makes you a valuable member of the CG team. Typical work assignments include:
  • Performing a wide variety of general office duties such as typing, filing, distributing mail, and answering/directing phone calls to appropriate personnel.
  • Preparing and typing in final form, a variety of correspondence, letters, memoranda, recurring and one time reports from rough drafts, oral or written instructions requiring complex formats and various software packages, i.e. Electronic mail, word-processing, Forms plus, Spreadsheet, Office graphics, Database/Project management.
  • Maintaining files and reports involving many subject headings.
  • Using Standard Workstation (CGSW), personal computer, and electronic typewriter to perform duties as assigned.
