Accountant (Hanover, Jamaica) - Collective Solution

Collective Solution is currently seeking an analytical, detailed oriented and trustworthy Accountant to join the team! This individual must exhibit knowledge of general accounting/financial practices and procedures as well as possess BPO industry experience within the capacity. Reporting to the Site Manager, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely preparation and processing of various financial and tax related activities within the accounting cycle.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Preparing accounts and tax returns
• Administering payrolls and controlling income and expenditure
• Auditing financial information
• Compiling and presenting reports, budgets, business plans, commentaries and financial statements
• Providing tax planning services regarding current legislation
• Financial forecasting and risk analysis
• Ensuring that statements and records comply with laws and regulations
• Coordinating purchasing activities between the office and suppliers
• Processing purchase orders as verified with purchasing officer/staff
• Execute asset management via keeping records of incoming and outgoing property in inventory/asset database and rented property (if any)
• Bank reconciliation, statutory obligations, accounts payable and corresponding with overseas suppliers

Skills and Competencies

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance / Accounting
• 3 to 5 years’ experience as an Accountant
• Proficient with Microsoft Suite- emphasis on Excel, QuickBooks, and payroll systems
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with persons at all levels
• Sound knowledge of Accounting principles
• Strong analytic and organizing skills
• Effective management and leadership skills
• Excellent time management and writing skills
• Experience in BPO sector preferred
