A separate Department of Defense (DOD) agency, the US Military Entrance Processing Command (USMEPCOM) is comprised of two geographical sectors and staffed with personnel from all military services. The mission of USMEPCOM and the 2nd Battalion Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) is to process individuals for enlistment or induction into the armed services. The 2nd Battalion MEPS comprises the MEPS and related testing sites for the North East region of the United States, from New Jersey to Maine.
This position is not full-time; it is an intermittent position. In an intermittent position, the work schedule will be flexible and the employee will be called in to duty as needed, with no set schedule. This position will not directly lead to a full-time position.

Duties
As a Test Administrator, you will administer written tests in the local commuting area of this announcement and up to a 100 mile radius when necessary, using your own vehicle to transport test material. You will maintain security and inventory of test materials. Some work may be performed from your residence prior to arrival at the test site. Position may require early morning travel and extended periods of standing, walking, and sitting. Incumbent must be able to carry 1 to 5 cases of test materials each weighing an average of 10 to 30 pounds to and from examination locations.
Test Administrators work an intermittent work schedule. Unlike full-time and part-time federal employment, intermittent work is sporadic in nature, and employees serving under this arrangement have no fixed or guaranteed schedules. They are ineligible for leave and receive no health or life insurance benefits. Employees serving on an intermittent work schedule will be paid by actual hours worked.
