Duties
The incumbent works in the Office of Workplace Diversity. The incumbent assists an attorney who is visually impaired in performing duties and responsibilities of the office. The incumbent reads a variety of documents, including Commission policies, regulations and reports, technical material, and industry publications. Proofreads and corrects typographical errors. The incumbent assists with performing basic legal research; uses word processing software (e.g. MS Word, Excel) and Internet Explorer, to assist in producing various documents.

Qualifications
Applicants must meet eligibility and qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Current Federal employees must meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience: Applicants must have a minimum of one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-04 in the Federal service. For this position, specialized experience includes the following:
1. Skill in reading clearly and distinctly;
2. Experience in using proper grammer, spelling, and punctuation;
3. Experience in conducting research; and
4. Skill in using word processing software.
Or
Education: Completed 4 years of progressively higher education above high school in an accredited bsiness or technical school, college or university in any field.
Or
A combination of Education and Experience.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Educational Requirements: You may qualify for this position if you have completed 4 years of progressively higher education above high school in an accredited business or technical school, college or university in any field. If you qualify based on education, you must submit a copy of your unofficial college transcript(s) along with your application
