Duties
Provides administrative assistance to technical staff. Independently prepares and processes financial documents including but not limited to Purchasing Requests and Commitments for labor funds, training requests, travel orders and vouchers. Prepares travel orders, travel advances, amendments and vouchers from verbal or brief written notes. Interprets and applies a variety of policies and regulations to assist employees with specific travel situations and problems. As timekeeper, coordinates with Project Managers, Budget Analysts and Section personnel to ensure project funds are available prior to input of time and attendance data. If necessary, requests additional project funds to support Section charges and obtains supporting documentation. Purchases items from various vendors according to regulatory requirements. Prepares PR&Cs, receiving reports and invoicing through an automated system for all purchases made. Ensures all purchases are within Government guidance and limitations, reconciles billing statement. Provides backup administrative assistance to the Branch when required.
