The selectee for this position will serve as a Packer (Forklift Operator) in the Supply Management Department of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR JACKSONVILLE. The duty station is Mayport, Florida. The selectee will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks involving the packing of standard, specialized and hazardous materials and equipment which requires special documentation and custom packing, and operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.

Requirements:
Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
Selectee must obtain and maintain a valid state issued driver's license.
Selectee must obtain and maintain a license to operate all assigned equipment including motor vehicles and forklifts.
Selectee must pass a pre-employment physical with periodic follow-on physicals.
Must be able to obtain an interim and/or final secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty AND must be able to maintain the required level of clearance while employed in the subject position. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
Required to lift weights up to 50 pounds without assistance.
Work is sometimes performed outdoors, including under adverse weather conditions
Work requires lifting and moving heavy items, up to 50 lbs
Must be able to wear personal type safety equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
