Assistant the aquatics manager in the supervision of the aquatic programs and acts as head lifeguard. Assists aquatic manager with coordination with the MWR marketing department to publicize aquatic events. Assist with the development and update of the Standard Operating Procedures for the aquatic facilities, programs and enforces policies.
Duties
Assistant the aquatics manager in the supervision of the aquatic programs and acts as head lifeguard. Assist with planning and administering a wide range of fairly typical, conventional and well-established basic aquatic activities. Assist manager in plans and coordination of details for reoccurring and nonrecurring aquatic, fitness, instructional, and joint community programs. Assist manager in planning and establishing aquatic certification curriculum to include lifeguarding, lifeguard instructor, water safety instructor, water fitness instructor and other safety, fitness and recreational certification and educational programming.
-Assists aquatic manager with coordination with the MWR marketing department to publicize aquatic events. Assist with the process to evaluate the effectiveness of the aquatic programs. Assist with program objectives from the standpoint of participant response and resources. Adapts and varies the aquatic program in light of findings. Assists the aquatic manager with the APF and NAF budget for the assigned facilities and programs. Review budget execution reports with the aquatic manager to ensure desired execution rate is met. Assists in the preparation of the annual quarterly and monthly budget input including UFR updates and request for special funding.
-Assist with the development and update of the Standard Operating Procedures for the aquatic facilities, programs and enforces policies. Assists the aquatic manager with data collection for the DOD and DA MWR standard reports. Assists with adherence to the policies established in AR 215-1, AR 215-3; TB-MED 375 and AR-385-10. Maintains adequate staffing to ensure a safe, functional, and enjoyable recreation activity. Assists with maintaining, ensuring accountability and proper operating condition of equipment. Performs preventive maintenance on equipment and reports any deficiencies as required. Assists with ensuring internal controls, safety, and security procedures and requirements are followed for the well being of the guests and employees. Responsible for inspections, cleanliness of equipment , backwashing and calibrating equipment such as chemical feed computers and heaters. Ensures proper handling and storage of chemicals and other supplies. Assist with the arrangement of equipment, supplies and services needed to accomplish assigned functions. Assist with solicitation of volunteer and contract services for aquatic program. Interviews and selects such staff and provides them with required orientation, training and management in order to meet all activity needs, provides transition training to outstanding volunteers to permit theme to serve in new and different areas. Assists and advises guests of available programs and responds to concerns. Represents the program department.
