NOTE: ***The employee selected to fill this position will retain his/her current rate of pay when changed to the lower-graded position.***
This position is located in the Architect of the Capitol (AOC), Office of the Chief Operating Officer, Superintendent Senate Office Buildings, Assistant Superintendent Client Services Division, Service Center Branch. The incumbent serves as an AMP Clerk and receives entry level training to perform office activities controlled by the jurisdiction.
The individual selected for this position will:
- Perform routine office support work consisting of several related tasks, steps or operations such as sorting, coding and filing documents in an established alphabetic, numerical or chronological filing system or limited data entry or typing on labels, envelopes and simple forms. Sorts and assembles a variety of forms and applies established procedures for checking the data.
- Answers the telephone and greets visitors to the office.
- Receive training in records management, Personally Identifiable Information (PII) protection, computer terminal use, copying machine operation, mail and file systems, customer service, telephone practices and receptionist responsibilities.
- Learn to use word processing software to produce standard documents and spreadsheet software to enter, revise, sort and retrieve data for reports.
- Follow all relevant safety rules, regulations and standard operating procedures.
- Utilize knowledge of and must comply with all OSHA safety rules and regulations to ensure that work progresses in a safe manner.
- Provide or receives training, either on-the-job or through classroom training, to ensure that all safety practices and equipment are fully utilized. Uses required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
