Save the Date: CDC NHSN Annual Training for LTC in July

CDC is inviting long-term care facilities and partners to join them July 9-11, 2019 for the 2019 National Healthcare Safety Network’s (NHSN) Annual Training for Long-term Care Facilities (LTCF). The training will be held at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) campus in Atlanta, Georgia and will cover a variety of topics, including the application of the NHSN LTCF surveillance protocols, antibiotic stewardship, and data analysis for action.

The training is open to current NHSN LTCF users, as well as LTCF staff from centers that may be interested in enrolling and participating in NHSN. The NHSN User Support Team will be available onsite to help current and new users with the beginning steps of participation like facility set-up and more.

New this year, the Secure Access Management Services (SAMS) Team will be onsite to help new users gain access to NHSN! The SAMS Team will assist with SAMS registration, including the issuance of the grid card needed to securely access NHSN. This is a great opportunity for new facilities and users to take advantage of personalized enrollment support.
