According to a November 27, 2018, McKnight's article entitled, "Feds encourage healthcare facilities to brush up on active shooter training following deadly incident," the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response is encouraging all providers to review its planning and response guide for active shooter incidents and other resources issued by the agency.  This comes post the deadly shooting at the Mercy Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago last week.  The full McKnight's article can be found here.  More emergency preparedness resources can also be found on AHCA’s website.
