Supervisory Hospital Attendant – Porter (St. Ann's Bay, St. Ann, Jamaica) - St. Ann's Bay Regional Hospital

The North East Regional Health Authority, a statutory body under the Ministry of Health, with responsibility for the management and delivery of Public Health Services within the parishes of St. Ann, St. Mary, and Portland invites applications from suitably qualified person to fill the position of Supervisory Hospital Attendant – Porter for St. Ann’s Bay Regional Hospital.

Reporting to the Hospital Administrator, the ideal candidate must meet the following minimum

qualifications:

• School Leaving Certificate

• Certificate in Supervisory Management

• Two (2) years working as Porter

Required Skills/Specialised Techniques

• Responsible, practical, honest and reliable
• Well organized
• Physically fit and able to bend, stand and lift
• Good interpersonal skills
• Ability to Multi-task

Responsibilities

• Preparing duty roster for Porters.
• Ensuring that all prescribed areas are staffed with Porters
• Certifying claims submitted by Porters
• Organizing and prioritizing work.
• Ensuring that effective working relations exist with other members of staff.
• Convene scheduled departmental meetings
• Assess and submit training needs for employees
• Facilitate effective performance management
