Ministry of Health: HIV/STI/Tb Unit

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the following positions:

  1. HIV DATABASE: SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR
  2. FINANCE MANAGER
HIV DATABASE: SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR
Job Purpose:
  • The Systems Administrator will be reponsible for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operatoon of computer systems between the MOH Mand E server and the field in the management of persons living with HIV.
Minimum Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Informatics, Health Statistics or related discipline PLUS at least four (4) years experience in database and network management
  • Knowledge of HIV/AIDS and public health research/surveillance 

FINANCE MANAGER

To manage the Finance Component of the HIV/STI/Tb Unit in ensuring compliance with relevant financial policies and procedures established by the funding agencies and GoJ.

Minimum Required Education and Experience:
  • A Master's degree in Business Administration or Accounting, its equivalent or related field from recognised university
  • Relevant working experience in Financial Management of at least five (5) years 
  • Experience and knowledge of Project Financial Management, Disbursement and Procurement Procedures
  • Experience with donor funded projects for at least two (2) years
  • Must have good understanding of Government financial management regulations
  • Training in project management, procurement methodologies and project financial procedures will be a distinct advantage
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Must possess good communication skills
  • Must be confidential
  • Experience with use of ACCPAC software
