If so, consider this opportunity to further enhance your career within the resource management planning discipline.The Regional Resources Section in Peterborough, is seeking a Regional Planning Intern to assist in the delivery of multiple resource management planning activities across southern Ontario.
How do I qualify?
Knowledge:
• General knowledge and understanding of Ontario's legislation and policies governing resource management planning, crown land use planning and environmental assessment;• Good understanding of the theory, principles, and practices of natural resource management, crown land use planning and environmental assessment;
Interpersonal, Organization and Communications Skills:
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with teams, external agencies and clients;• Good oral and written communication skills, including facilitation skills;
• Organization and time management skills to support multi-disciplinary teams;
• Basic analytical skills to interpret information and make recommendations
Computer Skills:
• Working knowledge of computer applications and packages (word processing, database, spreadsheets, presentation software)Note
Successful candidates may be required to undergo an employment screening check in accordance with the Ontario Employment Screening Checks Policy.
Eligibility:
• Proof of eligibility to work in Canada;• Has graduated or will graduate from an approved or legally authorized college or university with a degree, postgraduate certificate or diploma within the last four years;
• Candidates are only eligible to participate in one MNRF 18-month placement and must not have participated in the MNRF internship program in the past.
