Through diverse and complex administrative services, you provide valuable help and ensure the smooth functioning of key services. Education
- Post-secondary education or acceptable combination of relevant education, training and experience.
Experience- Experience providing administrative services;
- Experience working with desktop applications (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite).
- Competencies

Selected candidates will be evaluated against the Human Resources Services Competency Profile – Administrative Support Officers, for the purpose of this selection process. Pre-qualification and placement decisions will be supported by the various Competency profiles of the House of Commons.
Ideal candidates demonstrate at least the following qualities: superior professionalism, courtesy and friendliness in dealing with people; excellent client service orientation and sense of responsibility and ownership; unquestioned judgment, discretion and confidentiality; ability to work independently, juggling numerous tasks and activities, completing them on time; strong attention to detail as well as written and verbal communication skills. - Outcome
- The purpose of this recruitment and selection process is to create a pool of potential candidates that may be used to staff indeterminate or temporary administrative positions at the House of Commons. This pool will be available for consultation to all service areas.
- Essential Information

- Bilingual non-imperative appointments could also be considered. However, the minimum required linguistic profile is BBB. Selected candidates who do not have valid second language evaluation (SLE) results will be assessed.
- During the application process, candidates will be required to complete a questionnaire in order to demonstrate that they meet the basic prerequisites and to provide further details on their experience. All information gathered through the application process will support screening, pre-qualification and placement.
- Screening and assessments will be conducted progressively, as applications are received. Candidates will be informed of the status of their application in a timely manner. The pool of potential candidates may be consulted at any time.
- A variety of assessment tools may be used to assess candidates.
