Duties

Drives a vehicle to transport passengers within Point Pelee National Park; communicates with visitors, staff, and partners; and performs routine maintenance and assists in minor repairs.

regions of Canada.

Intent of the process

We are currently seeking to fill two Shuttle Bus Driver positions at Point Pelee National Park. We are looking for passionate and visitor-focused team members who will work with others to provide awesome opportunities to visitors at the park. This process will be used to create a list of qualified candidates to staff similar positions
with various tenures in Point Pelee National Park.

You must meet all essential qualifications in order to be appointed to the position. Other qualifications may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed. CERTIFICATION
• Possession of a valid and current class G drivers license (MINIMUM REQUIREMENT).
EXPERIENCE:
• Experience driving with a valid license for a minimum of 5 years with a clean driving abstract (minimum 2 years).
ABILITIES
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle carrying up to 98 passengers;
• Ability to perform operator inspections and daily maintenance on a motor vehicle;
• Ability to effectively assist and communicate with visitors, staff, and partners;
• Ability to greet visitors and respond to questions and complaints.
PERSONAL SUITABILITY
• Strives for excellence;
• Takes responsibility;
• Exercises sound judgement;
• Communicates effectively;
• Takes initiative.

Conditions of employment

Reliability Status security clearance - Security Screening: Obtain and maintain Reliability Status
Possession of a valid class G driver's license.

Provision of a client driver's abstract, which is to show a minimum two (2) year driving record that is free of at fault accidents, convictions, suspensions and revocations.
You may be required to obtain a pre-employment medical.
