The intent of this process is to fill an indeterminate position. However, a pool of qualified candidates may be created and used to staff indeterminate, term, full-time and part-time positions.

You must meet all essential qualifications in order to be appointed to the position. Other qualifications may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed. In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Successful completion of two years of secondary school education according to provincial/territorial standards or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Degree equivalency

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

Diploma or certificate in an administrative or related field
Degree equivalency
Recent* experience in providing administrative support services
*Recent is defined as experience normally obtained within the past 2 years
Experience using PROS (Police Reporting and Occurrence System)
Experience using different media transcription programs.
Experience providing administrative services in a legal or police services environment

Ability to key 40 words per minute with less than 2% error rate

Ability to transcribe

Ability to review and ensure accuracy of data

Willing and able to work in a policing environment which includes daily exposure to unsettling and/or graphic material

Other information

The successful candidate will be required to provide original documentation of proof of Canadian Citizenship prior to appointment. Other candidates may also be asked to provide this documentation at various stages in the selection process. The following documents will be accepted as proof: Provincial or territorial birth certificate; Naturalization certificates (issued prior to Jan. 1, 1947); Registration of Birth Abroad certificates (issued between Jan. 1, 1947 and Feb. 14, 1977); Certificates of Retention; Citizenship certificates.

Candidates may be required to provide keyboarding results that have been validated by an institution such as a school or local career college.

You may be assessed using one or more of the following tools: standardized tests, written exams, interview, simulation exercise, reference check, and other assessment tools.

Candidates may be required to pay for all assessment and travel expenses.

The successful applicant will have to obtain, as a minimum, an RCMP Enhanced Reliability Status security clearance. The process also requires a Security/Reliability Interview, a field investigation in matters of credit/finances, education, employment, references, etc.

Must be willing and able to relocate to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan
