Job Summary:
Assistant Manager, Accounts Payable R14/ $45,430.86 - $51,490.89 per annum. Temporary, greater than 7 months, Full-Time/ Vancouver. STEP into a career with one of BC’s Top Employers since 2009. The Liquor Distribution Branch is one of Canada’s largest distributors and retailers of beverage alcohol. The Assistant Manager, Accounts Payable is responsible to manage, control and maintain a large and complex computerized payables system processing disbursements of over $1 billion for all liquor payment items of the Branch.  This role will also manage and co-ordinate activities for staff regarding system upgrades and on-going system maintenance. Qualifications:
Education & Experience: Minimum of two years recent related experience working in a high volume, automated accounts payable environment of a large complex organization with a good working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles supplemented with formal accounting training. A minimum of one years experience in supervising staff, allocating work duties, managing employee performance and delivering training, direction and leadership. Experience working with Oracle or other major ERP solutions. A demonstrated desire to engage in continuing education and professional development, preferred A combination of education, training and experience may be considered. Skills and Abilities: Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with external and internal customers/clients Demonstrated advanced MS Office Skills (Excel, Word, Outlook). Demonstrated abilities such as: strong analytical and evaluation skills; attention to detail; proficiency in working with numbers and the ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines. Proven ability demonstrating good judgement and organizational skills and possess effective communication and interpersonal skills.
