GraceKennedy Currency Trading Services invites applications from persons who are dynamic, performance-driven and seeking a challenging role, for the position of:

Trading and Business Development Manager

Reporting to the FX Trader Sales and Business Development Manager, the successful applicant's main duties will include but are not limited to:

• Developing and implementing strategies to maximize growth and profitability.
• Working closely with Agent Owners and other key stakeholders to identify new target segments and opportunities.
• Managing the implementation of projects being rolled out for the brand and ensuring that the long term strategic objectives (revenue and/or growth, cost efficiencies, brand awareness, etc.) are achieved.
• Providing effective management and leadership to the Trading Department to ensure that strategic objectives are accomplished.
• Working with the Marketing Department to increase the brand awareness and market share of FX Trader.
• Building the FX Trader brand by forming strategic alliances with key stakeholders (including but not restricted to current corporate customers, GK Group of Companies, Agents, and other groups of customers).
• Providing regular and timely analysis on the economic and other factors impacting the foreign exchange industry and making appropriate recommendations as deemed necessary or as the situation warrants.
• Assisting with the development of the overall strategies for the company.
• Ensuring strict adherence to all compliance and risk procedures of the company. this includes, but is not restricted to, all KYC/AML  and counter party risk policies and procedures.

Supervisory/Administrative

• Submitting weekly and monthly reports on the factors influencing the Retail markets to guide management and policy decisions.
• Assisting with the preparation of the annual FX Trader budget.
• Engaging in on-going research to constantly update knowledge of quality management tools, trend analyses, impact analysis, and risk management to enhance personal development and expertise available to GKCTS.
• Conducting performance appraisals for staff and ensuring continuous development.
• Performing any other related duties which may be assigned from time to time.

Required Qualification, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

• Master of Business Administration or an equivalent degree in a related discipline with an emphasis on Finance and Business Management.
• Project management qualification would be an asset.
• Tree (3) years' experience in a management position in a banking  or financial services.
• In-depth knowledge of the local and international foreign exchange market.
• In-depth knowledge of financial markets and the local economic environment.
• Strong analytical skills. with the ability to examine performance levels and to forecast targets based on trend analysis and other external information.
• Excellent negotiation, International, team building, creative and communication skills.
• Commercial awareness and innovation.
•  Strong entrepreneurial traits, managerial and leadership skills.
• Ability to work as part of cross functional teams, with diverse personalities.
• Ability to work on own initiative with excellent time management skills.
• High level of confidentially.
• High customer service oriented.
