A Laundry service establishment in the North of the island is seeking suitable persons to join its team, filling in the following positions.

Vacancy 1: Laundry operations coordinator.

Summary of position: The successful candidate must have strong leadership skills, to manage resources in a cost effective manner, to work independently and efficiently ensuring a successful running of the day to day operation, to ensure that all linen are neatly laundered and delivered in timely manner to meet the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Additional responsibilities:

• Scheduling Manage inventory, record keeping
• Assist with staff training
• Ability to operate the functions of the machines.
• Overall upkeep of the operations ensuring that cleanliness, health and safety procedures are maintained
• Ensuring that all equipments are functioning and maintained.
• Assignment of duties which involves the general cleanliness of linen
• Any other tasks assigned

Requirements:

• Would be required to work flexible shifts, Public holidays and weekends.
• At least 5 years driving experience with a valid driver’s license endorsed to operate light goods vehicle would be an asset.
• Ability to push Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance
• Education:
• Computer literate- preferable-Advance knowledge in windows program
• Secondary school graduate.
• Basic knowledge of professional laundry cleaning services and operations or equivalent to
• Formal hospitality training in laundering or housekeeping
• Customer service oriented.

Vacancy 2: Laundry driver

Summary of the position Pick up, sort out and deliver all linens to and designated location in a timely manner according to the standard of the operation. The successful candidate must be positive, and must be a team player to assist the laundry team in their daily task to ensure that all linen is cleaned and ready for delivery in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

• Effective written and verbal communication
• Must have at least 5 yrs driving experience with updated driver’s license endorsed to operate light goods vehicles
• Must have basic mechanical skills.
• Must be able to lift between 25 to 100 pounds with regularity
• Ability to work and stand for long periods of time
• Able to work weekends, public holidays and flexible shifts
• Have the ability to understand the laundry machines functions and its operations.

Duties Responsibilities:

• Must be capable of operating the laundry equipment
• Must have the ability to multi task
• On load/ offload linen assist with sorting out of linen.
• Ensuring overall upkeep of vehicle and equipment assigned to work with are in excellent working conditions and to report any issues to management in a timely manner.
• Excellent punctuality and attendance.
• To ensure that cleanliness, safety and other standard procedures are followed.
• Any other tasks to be assigned.

Vacancy 3: Laundry attendants- Ironing

Applicant must be Skilled in ironing all types of garments professionally, which includes formal ladies and gents wear, wedding garments
Full time or part-time employment will be accepted for persons with ironing skills. In addition to the above, need positive individuals, with basic laundering experience or trainable to perform required tasks of a commercial laundry.
