Applicants should be aware that this selection process may be used to staff similar positions at this group and level with various security requirements, conditions of employment as well as various tenures (temporary or permanent) within Health Canada.

You must meet all essential qualifications in order to be appointed to the position. Other qualifications may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed. Some essential and other qualifications will be assessed through your application. It is your responsibility to provide appropriate examples that illustrate how you meet each qualification. In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EEd1: Successful completion of two years of secondary school or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Degree equivalency
EEx1: Experience in using one or more of the following financial systems: Oracle; Freebalance; SAP.
EEx2: Experience in processing transactions, such as accounts payables, and/or accounts receivables, in an integrated financial application.
EEx3: Experience providing support in one or more of the following areas:
- Finance or accounting
- Records Management and/or
- Help-desk support.
EEx4: Experience in using computer software, such as word processing, spreadsheets and electronic mail.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

AEd1: Successful completion of two years of a post-secondary program with specialization in accounting, finance, business administration, commerce or economics: or possession of the Government of Canada Financial Management Certificate.
Degree equivalency
AEx1: Experience working within an accounting operations environment.
AEx2: Experience in using SAP Financial System.
AEx3: Experience with Procurement to Pay (P2P) within an automated workflow environment.
AEx4: Experience in the provision of help desk services.
AEx5: Experience in supporting or processing travel in the Public Service.

Candidates must meet the essential qualifications to be appointed to a position.

In the case of an acting appointment, the Public Service Employment Regulations enables the organization to exclude the appointee from respecting official language proficiency when the department is unable to fill the position with an appointment of a person who meets the language proficiency qualification. Therefore, we would encourage all to apply, in the event the organization is unable to fill the position with an appointment of a person who meets the language proficiency, others may be considered.

Candidates who have been fully assessed and found to have met all essential qualifications except official language requirements may update their second-language evaluation (SLE) results for as long as the pool is/pools are valid. N.B.: Each candidate can only undergo SLE testing one time within the context of an appointment process; any update to a candidate's linguistic profile must be as a result of subsequent SLE testing done outside of this appointment process.
