The island's disaster management agency is seeking individuals  to join its team in the following capacity:

Systems Support Technician (MIS/IT 3)

 Salary Scale: $943,781.00 - $1,121,859 per annum

Main role and core functions:

Reporting to the Information Systems Manager, the Systems Support Technician will provide support for computer hardware, software, networking and other information systems services of the organization. Specifically, the Systems Support Technician will provide ongoing technical support to users of computer systems and applications, perform systems maintenance, support the development of software applications, and develop and administer appropriate end-user training. He/She will also prepare, edit and maintain instructional reference material and user guides.

Required skills and specialized techniques:

• Proficient in PC hardware maintenance and operational procedures
• Proficient in administering and supporting, Windows 7, Window 8, Windows 10, Windows Server 2008 and 2012 as well as MS Office Suite
• Knowledge of network connectivity LAN, WAN and wireless systems
• Knowledge of Enterprise Email Systems; knowledge of Lotus Notes a plus
• Knowledge of database development and administration
• Knowledge of graphic designing software including Photoshop an asset
• Knowledge of Document Management System
• Proficient in maintaining Enterprise Backup Systems and Disaster Recovery Systems including offsite storage procedures
• Proficient in administering Enterprise Anti-virus Security Systems
• Knowledge of HR and accounting systems; familiarity with AccPac application an asset
• Knowledge of web development tools
• Knowledge of the most current enterprise productivity

Required Education and Experience:

• Diploma in Information Technology or Diploma in Computer Studies from a reputable institution or equivalent, as well as relevant Microsoft certification
• At least two (2) years experience in a similar position
