Sweet Craft Ltd. Now Hiring: Warehouse Clerk, Maintenance Technician - Kingston, Jamaica

A growing manufacturing company seeks to fill the vacancies listed below: 
Warehouse Clerk 

The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for orchestrating the movements and storage of goods in a warehouse. He/she receives, stores and distributes material and products within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions.

Summary of duties:

• Assist with shipping and receiving, unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders
• Read customers' orders, work orders, shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed and/or shipped.
• Move material and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas

Education:

• Must have at least minimum of 3 CXC subjects including English Language and Math and/or successful completion of technical apprenticeship/training program (HEART) or equivalent combination of education and experience
• At least one (1) year working experience, with previous experience in the manufacturing sector being an asset     
• Must be computer literate
• Must be able to drive and operate a forklift
• Competencies:
• Ability to work on a 12 hour shift and late nights, early mornings, weekends, or public holidays based on production schedule
• Keen attention to detail and analytical skills   

Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for operating blow mold equipment and addressing machine, mechanical and processing issues including troubleshooting process related issues, mold changes, preventative equipment maintenance and overall general maintenance.

Summary of Duties:

• Responsible for efficient operation of blow mold and other associated equipment
• Capable of setting up and adjusting blow molding and related equipment, troubleshooting process related issues, and performing preventative maintenance on machines
• Education:
• Must have at least minimum Diploma/Certificate in Engineering or an equivalent technical field and/or successful completion of a technical apprenticeship/training program (HEART) or equivalent combination of education and experience 
• At least two (2) years working experience, with previous experience in the manufacturing industry being an asset
• Strong mechanical aptitude and demonstrated knowledge of troubleshooting and basic mechanical repairs is required
• Must be computer literate

Competencies:

• Knowledge of and/or experience in blow molding, PET processing, injection molding highly desired
• Knowledge of industrial machinery, mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical systems and/or compressors highly desired
• Ability to work on 12 hour shifts and late nights, early mornings, weekends, or public holidays based on production schedule
