REPORTS TO: Key Account Manager  - Hotel & Key On Premise – Western Region

JOB CONTEXT

The role of the Commercial Draught Quality Executive – Western Region is critical to the success of our Excellent Outlet Execution (EOE), Quality and Cold Coverage strategy in the Hotels and Key On Trade. The role is responsible for Draught Quality Excellence, Commercial Asset Management and overall end to end execution to guarantee cold beer according to established specification (i.e. -2 to 4 degrees).

The role also focuses on delivering the perfect serve being poured from all draught pouring points in trade, quality improvement, equipment functionality, training and engagement of hotel staff and supporting and monitoring our external partners who has the day to day responsibility for service delivery.

JOB PURPOSE

• Accountable for the achievement of targets for volumes, EOE, quality improvement, issue resolution and overall equipment installations and management.
• Responsible for identification of new opportunities to increase cold coverage and may be required to implement agreed activities as signed off through the Master Calendar Process/JUBP process.
• Lead trade assessment audits through structured quality assurance framework, identify gaps across the channel and feedback to commercial, quality, and supply chain teams.
• Provides key customer and channel insights and weekly reporting to improve Draught Quality Excellence.
• Influence, train & educate customer & bar staff towards the delivery of optimum quality Beer
• Builds amazing relationships with customers, especially the Food and Beverage/Bar Managers.
• Works closely with the distributor sales, MEM teams and internal sales, quality and supply chain teams to deliver on strategic imperatives in the channel.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering or related discipline
• 3 years’ experience in commercial or technical related field
• Strong communication and influencing skills
• Highly organised and motivated individual with strong analytical and problem solving capability
• Project management capability
• Knowledge of Draught technology, Health & Safety, Industry specific legislation, Quality Assurance and Risk Management standards
• Ability to interpret technical  drawings

RESPONSIBILITIES     

3 YEAR PLAN:

• Provides customer insights to drive the achievement of EOE, Quality and Cold Coverage KPIs
• Support the development of customer driven channel strategies for the 3 year business plan
• Contribute to Sales Unit Plans per segment development
• Provides insights with regard to sources of growth, segment priorities, segment growth drivers, customer insights and channel trend development
• Insight in competitive strategies for learning and implications

DISTRIBUTOR MANAGEMENT:

• Contributes to and monitors the achievement of set KPIs (EOE)
• Drive issue resolution, quality improvement and equipment functionality through the distributor:
• Sets up formal review process with the distributor maintenance team and the internal sales, quality and supply chain teams to jointly manage KPI performance
• Provide guidance on draught quality standards
• Builds and maintains amazing relationships with the distributor sales force 

COMMERCIAL ASSET MANAGEMENT:

• Identifies and evaluates outlet opportunities to match the right asset selection and location to the right consumer opportunity
• Manage commercial assets to maximize resource utilization and return on investment
• Provide guidance on equipment specification, ordering and inventory
• Coordinates and manages equipment implementation and maintenance through the sales force
• Evaluates ROI of overall assets and recommends any remedial action
• Sets up systems to ensure tracking and maintenance of assets
• Drives internal development of new solutions to meet new opportunities with customers 
• Provide training to F&B / Bar Managers and bartenders on equipment usage, quality and perfect serve

REPORTING & COMPLAINTS MANAGEMENT:

• Establish the root causes of complaints, implement improvement actions and monitor solution effectiveness:
• Accelerates and supports complaints eradication prerequisite activities (e.g. periodical maintenance of kegs, training of operators, training and engagement of hotel and outlets staff.
• Implements good practices to improve complaints management system
• Visits hotels and outlets to conduct audits and take proactive actions to prevent complaints
• Manage the overview of equipment condition, communicates possible failures and makes detailed restoration proposals (e.g. parts, services)

BUDGET RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Significant impact on the delivery of our draught volume target, leading to attainment of AOP net sales value. 

NUMBER OF DIRECT/INDIRECT REPORTS:

• Fixed term contractors as required; will be required to demonstrate full ownership of the talent management process; performance management, personal development, coaching and guidance etc.
