• Summary

  Civilian employees serve a vital role in supporting the Army mission. They provide the skills that are not readily available in the military, but crucial to support military operations. The Army integrates the talents and skills of its military and civilian members to form a Total Army.
  This position is located at the Financial Management Branch of Morale, Welfare and Recreation.
  The Area of Consideration for this vacancy announcement is the Fort Riley commuting area (50 miles). (Military Spouse Preference (MSP) and Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP) Preference eligible candidates are included in the area of consideration.)

  Responsibilities

  
  

  • Maintains property accountability records. Physically inventories property at periodic intervals.
  • Lift and carries objects, such as packages, cartons, boxes and tools, and places them in specified locations using a hand truck if necessary.
  • Maintains a stock of cleaning material and equipment and replaces light bulbs.
  • Operate a government vehicle with or without trailers to issue, receive, and transport government property.
  • Serves as back up to mail services and maintains a centralized distribution center.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  Conditions of Employment

  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position

  Conditions of Employment:

  6. Satisfactorily complete a pre-employment health physical.
  7. Willing to work in hot and cold, dusty environments both indoors and outdoors.
  8. Able to work occasional nights and weekends, with notice, to support MWR events.
  9. Satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, 2-13, i.
  

  Qualifications

  1. Work experience related to the duties described above.
  2. Basic typing skills.
