Responsibilities
The following are the duties of this position at the GS-12. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position.
-Drafts letters for the signature of the Assistant or Under Secretary on non-technical issues.
-Reviews and appraises office administrative procedures and policies and recommends changes or develops new procedures within established policies and based on views of the Assistant or Under Secretary of the Treasury.
-Determine the priority of the request and arranges the Assistant or Under Secretary's calendar and/or delegates other requests appropriately. Presents schedules to the Assistant or Under Secretary for review.
-Plans and coordinates meetings; directs the preparation, compilation, and distribution of materials to attendees; makes other arrangements as required.

Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Specializedexperience:
For the GS-12, you must have one year of specialized experience at the level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 level that is directly related to the position and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience at this level is defined as experience:
* Interpreting and making recommendations to office policies and procedures that apply to specific administrative work processes; AND
*Maintaining and coordinating office calendar for multiple staff members; AND
*Researching and correcting scheduling conflicts based on knowledge of office priorities, staff responsibilities and overall workload; AND
*Reviewing final documents for the signature of management ensuring documents are complete and correct.
For the GS-11, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:
*Interpreting office policies and procedures that apply to specific administrative work processes; AND
* Preparing documents ensuring content is complete and correct: AND
*Identifying scheduling conflicts and making priority recommendations to management.
OR You may substitute education for specialized experience as follows: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
OR 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
OR LL.M, if related.
OR have a combination of specialized experience and graduate level education. Only graduate education in excess of a master's or equivalent graduate degree, may be used to combine education and experience.
