Room Attendants are responsible for maintenance, upkeep and cleanliness of rooms and attentiveness to guests, while projecting Melia Braco Village Hotel’s high standards of service and professional hospitality. This include promoting a positive image of the property to guests, and must be pleasant, friendly and able to address problems or special requests.

Requirements

• Minimum Level 1 Certificate in Housekeeping.
• Minimum 1 Year experience in Housekeeping within the Hospitality Industry.
• Be familiar with the frequently used Standard Operations Procedures.
• Ability to read, write and converse in the English Language. Another language would be an asset.
• Be knowledgeable of how to operate standard Housekeeping Equipment.
• Must have the ability to stand for long periods of time, stoop, kneel and crouch.
• Must have knowledge in the use of chemicals and must be able to lift and/or move up to 15-25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform all shift checklist responsibilities and reporting requirements.
• Assist team with supplies and support in order to consistently provide quality guest rooms and public areas.
• Respond accurately and appropriately to all basic Housekeeping related queries.
• Properly maintain hotel keys and electronic cards (key control).
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Clean, dust, scrub, polish and service guestrooms in daily accordance with hotel procedures and Housekeeping Room Attendant checklist.
• Remove trays from guest rooms.
• Maintain status reports for guest rooms.
• Follow procedures for ‘do not disturb’ rooms.
• ‘Pick up’ any room assigned to you if the guest checks out early.
• Report any damage, hazard repairs to your immediate manager/ supervisor.
• Respond to any projects or requests developed by the Housekeeping Management team.
• Any other responsible request by a manager /supervisor.
