The selectee for this position will serve as a Fuel Distribution Systems Worker-Trainee in the Fuel Department,Operations Division of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR PEARL HARBOR. This position is being filled as a Worker Trainee Position and as such the selectee will be trained to perform routine duties in support of fuel operations and will assist higher graded employees who will provide specific instructions on work to be performed. At the full performance level the selectee with perform duties within the bulk fuel distribution and supply facilities, but may be assigned to perform work at the airfield fuel facility for cross-training purposes or to meet operation requirements.
Duties
Initial work assignments are selected to provide appropriate training.
At the full performance level, WG-06, the successful selectee will perform the following duties:
Receiving fuel by tanker truck, pipeline, or ship
Issuing fuel to ships, tanks, fueling units, and/or tank trucks
Reading meter, taking samples, and temperature readings
Following directions for opening and closing valves, starting and stopping pumps, and recording amounts transferred
Performing operator maintenance of fuel distribution system equipment

Requirements:
Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the applicant fails to report to the scheduled drug test appointment. Must be able to obtain an interim and/or final secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty AND must be able to maintain the required level of clearance while employed in the subject position.Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
Selectee will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
Must be able to wear personal type safety equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
This is a KEY/Mission Essential position. The incumbent must ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision. The selectee must be removed from military recall status.
The selectee will be subject to recall 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
May be required to climb ladders and work at heights up to 250 feet
Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50lbs
Selectee must possess and maintain a driver's license
Selectee must obtain and maintain government operator permits for all assigned vehicles and equipment
